Dr. Abdallah, a retired senior lecturer after 23 years teaching experience at University of Nairobi. 8 years as Head of Haematology & Blood Transfusion Thematic Unit based at Kenyatta National Teaching and Referral Hospital. Represented the unit in various sub-committees of the School of Medicine board. Experienced researcher in haematology, oncology and blood transfusion through local and international collaborations. In addition to many peer-reviewed scientific publications, she was editor for East African Medical Journal – laboratory sciences chapter. University of Maryland Lead trainer and Senior Technical Advisor for Kenya National Blood Transfusion Service (KNBTS). Affiliated with Regional Society of Blood Transfusion Kenya. Founder member of East Central and Southern Africa College of Pathologists (ECSACOP). Former Board of Director Member of KMPDC. 10 years Regional Committee Member for Aga Khan Foundation’s Madrassa Program (an ECD program in resource-challenged communities in the region). Director, Africa Cancer Foundation and Resource Centre for Women and Girls.
